UPDATE: Construction on Parkridge Drive and Duval Street as part of the Eglin Regional Reuse Project Phase I

| Staff Reporters
Due to delays, Parkridge Drive at Pepper Drive in Navarre will now be closed on Tuesday, June 3, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for crews to finish work on the reclaimed water main. Parkridge Drive will be closed to through traffic but temporary access will be maintained by Woodmont Road and Treasure Street.
Parts of Parkridge Drive and Duval Street will be affected by the construction. Motorists should seek an alternate route if possible.

Duval Street at Pepper Drive in Navarre is currently closed today, Monday, June 2, until 3 p.m. for crews to finish work on the reclaimed water main. A temporary single-lane road will be built so residents and emergency vehicles can still get to this portion of Duval Street.

This is part of phase one of the Eglin Regional Reuse Project. Santa Rosa County and the Holley Navarre Water System (HNWS) are partners on the Eglin Regional Reuse Project, which will allow Santa Rosa County to remove treated wastewater effluent from Santa Rosa Sound and allow HNWS to send reclaimed water to rapid infiltration basins located on Eglin Air Force Base.

Phase II, once started, will remove the effluent discharge that goes into the sound from the wastewater treatment plant on Navarre Beach.

The project is being constructed by L&K Construction. For issues related to the construction, contact project foreman Kevin Burgans at 850-499-2303.
