The current supervisor of elections for Santa Rosa County, Tappie Villane, will keep her job for another four years after defeating Cindy Hall in the Tuesday, Aug. 20 Republican primary election.

Villane received 20,746 votes (62.54% of the total vote) and Hall received 12,424 votes (37.46% of the total vote).  There are no write in candidates or democratic opposition in this race for November’s general election.

Villane comes back to her job having been involved in elections for 24 years, over a decade of which she has held the title of supervisor of elections. Navarre Press attempted to reach Villane regarding her victory but didn’t hear back as of publication of this article.

Her opponent, Hall, came into the race with a background in the medical equipment and lab imaging field. According to Hall, she managed sales for Abbott Laboratories. She ran on an election integrity platform and was reportedly endorsed by MyPillow founder and election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell.

Hall was unable to be reached for comment as well.
