A shoplifting suspect detained while running down the airstrip across from the Walmart Supercenter in Navarre was found to have a stolen backpack in which he placed a stolen car stereo system. The 31-year-old from Chiefland, Florida, was carrying a skateboard as he ran.

Navarre man strikes, shoves stepdaughter over open front door

A 73-year-old Navarre man was arrested after authorities received a video of him battering his stepdaughter over the home’s front door being open. According to the man’s arrest report from Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, an 11-minute video showing the man battering his 19-year-old stepdaughter was sent to authorities by the victim’s mother.

Woman attacks husband after falsely accusing him of sexual battery

A 38-year-old Navarre woman was arrested Dec. 6 for battery – domestic violence after attacking her husband. According to the woman’s arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department, the woman called authorities to report that she was sexually battered by her husband. Authorities say the woman’s husband found out she was cheating on him, but the pair decided to try working on their relationship for the sake of their three children.

Pace man threatens to bomb credit union

A 65-year-old man from Pace threatened to bomb the Pen Air Federal Credit Union at 4586 Highway 90 in Pace Nov. 24. According to the man’s arrest report from Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, the man walked into the credit union and stated that he had a bomb.
