Shipwrecks create great habitat

According to the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN), more than 300 ships have wrecked in and around Pensacola Bay, and they provide great habitat for sea life, as well as recreational opportunities for divers and snorkelers.
U.S.S. Oriskany near Pensacola is one of the 12 vessels included on the Florida Panhandle Dive Trail stretching from Pensacola to Port St. Joe.
