After a significant change, the House Education & Employment Committee on Thursday approved a bill that addresses sex education in schools and teed it up for consideration by the full House. Under the bill, which was approved in an 18-2 vote, school districts would be required to post notification on the home pages of their websites about the rights of students’ parents to opt out of sex education instruction.
