Mention the month of October and the color pink to people and they will almost immediately think of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. What people might be less likely to recognize is that September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, which dedicates the month to raising awareness and educating women on ovarian cancer, the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death in women.
