On Jan. 8, a Waste Management truck driver was recorded dumping both regular trash and recyclables into the same truck on Harvest Village Court in Navarre even though recyclables are supposed to be picked up separately.
Marc Jackson, 32, of Navarre was arrested Dec. 24 for burglary of an occupied residence, battery, resisting an officer without violence and resisting an officer with violence.
The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announced its committees and board of directors for 2013. Cheryl Chant, co-owner of Juana’s Pagodas and Sailors’ Grill, will be the executive committee chairman, replacing John Hays. Hays will serve as the past chairman on the board. Jim Taylor will serve as the chair elect, Regina Carter will be vice chairman and Tim Wyrosdick will act as treasurer.
Holley Navarre Water System is holding an election in January to decide who will join the board of directors in 2026. There are four candidates vying for three seats.
Navarre Press recently held a forum for candidates to share their thoughts on the water system and to answer members’ questions. The forum was held Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the HNWS-owned The Club at Hidden Creek.
IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, a women’s philanthropic organization, recently announced the recipients of their 2025 grants, each worth $103,500. There were 12 grants handed out in total at the Oct. 19 annual meeting, also known as “Million Dollar Sunday.”
