Middle school can be one of the most difficult and awkward times for maturing students, and Woodlawn Beach Middle School eighth grade pre-algebra teacher Kelly Barnes is more than happy to do anything she can do to spark her students’ interest in math and keep them motivated throughout the school year.
The Navarre Beach Chamber of Commerce will host the 19th annual Christmas in the Park celebration Saturday Dec. 7 from 1-6 p.m. The event will feature Christmas related festivities and a Christmas Parade from 2:30-3:30 p.m., which will begin near the Navarre Public Library and run South down Presidio Street to end near Esplanade Street

The Navarre girls weightlifting program could have entered this year with a rebuilding mentality after losing five of the six medal winners from last year’s state championship team to graduation. However, this team is extremely motivated to make a return trip to the state meet in February.
