Making progress on road repairs

Members like Tonya Layton take a lot of pride in their handmade kite creations. She showed off the kite that she made herself, a dolphin she named Marty, at the club’s recent gathering at Opal Beach. Many club members bring family and friends to weekend “Club Fun Flys” the third Sunday of each month or whenever the club wants to get together.  

State champion Kylie Shelley looks to future

In February, Kylie Shelley won the state weightlifting championship in the 119-pound weight division. However, she felt there was something missing. “It was a much better feeling in 2013, when we won the team championship,” Shelley said. “We stood on that platform together to accept our championship medals. We had worked hard together and it was only right that we celebrated together.”
