County going somewhere bad in a handbasket

I see where in the Navarre Press of 1/20-26/2022 the Santa Rosa County “Zoning Board” is doing what the (Censored) in the “South Santa Rosa (Navarre) County want to do.

In effect they are “Killing the Goose that Laid the Golden Egg.”

For Christmas this year, I got some of the most wonderful gifts of all – feedback from readers that they love Navarre Press and appreciate our role in the community.

A few people went out of their way to send us this gift. Others mentioned it when they were making sure their subscriptions didn’t expire.

‘What I like most about Christmas’

Second grade students from Holley-Navarre Primary School took some time to share what they like most about Christmas. Students were asked to draw and write some of their favorite parts of celebrating Christmas. Navarre Press chose to retain the original spelling from each student’s entry to ensure extra holiday cuteness.

Local veteran to get service dog in the new year

Just in time for the holidays, readers helped Navarre Press reach its goal of helping one Santa Rosa County veteran get a Healing Paws for Warriors dog in 2022.

The dogs, which are mostly rescues, are trained to support veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury or other emotional and mental trauma.

East Bay students share the things they are most thankful for

to tell us what they are grateful for this year. The students
were in third, fourth and fifth grades. ACES, which is Santa
Rosa County School District’s gifted program, spend one day a
week in Glenn Rutland’s classroom.

South Santa Rosa needs to form its own county

The other day you printed a article that stated that 66% of the residents of Navarre would support incorporation.

Last Thursday, the Navarre Press printed a article on the same subject and printed the number that supported incorporation and the number that were against incorporation.
