Navarre’s hope for a victory in a Region 1-2A flag football semifinal was renewed when Bella Kendall connected with Natalie Busch in stride on a scoring strike at the start of the fourth quarter.

The Raiders cut the Pace lead to nine on Busch’s catch-and-run play down the visiting sideline, leaving plenty of time for Navarre to still complete a comeback Tuesday at Bennett C Russell Stadium.

In February, Santa Rosa County commissioners approved letting RaceTrac install underground fuel storage tanks in a wellfield zone that supplies clean drinking water to about 100,000 residents. On Monday, Commissioner Colten Wright, who voted to approve the variance allowing the tanks, proposed updating the wellfield protection ordinance to address issues raised during the RaceTrac debate – including what to do about existing underground tanks in the area.

Fuel specialists play an important role in the U.S. military. They manage, operate and maintain fuel storage and dispensing facilities. In the Air Force, this mostly pertains to vehicles and aircraft, both on the ground and in mid-flight. They also help maintain gas stations on the bases they are assigned, test fuel samples for quality and maintain liquid oxygen. In essence, without them, the military is at a standstill.
