New UF center focuses on inflammation and disease

GAINESVILLE — Recognizing growing evidence that inflammation influences many diseases — including diabetes, certain cancers and even Alzheimer’s — University of Florida Health has established the Center for Inflammation and Mucosal Immunology to foster collaboration among members of the UF biomedical research community with shared interest in inflammation and disease.

Massive area cleanup planned June 8th

In an effort to show and encourage good stewardship of public lands, generations of dog hunters are planning to clean up trash and other debris littered across parts of Eglin reservation and in certain areas of the Holley community, which lies adjacent to the southeast border of Eglin. The clean-up is scheduled for , Saturday, June 8.
