More than 50 citizens attended the first of two public hearings on Santa Rosa County’s $100 million budget for fiscal year 2014 held last Tuesday. McDonald’s and Taco Bell on Navarre Parkway, and the Pier Bar & Grill, operated by The Pier, Inc., which runs the Navarre Beach Pier were all issued warnings during health inspections in recent months. The issue with Taco Bell, however, is related to a fire earlier this year which forced the closure of the business, which has yet to re-open.
