If Navarre ran the state, election results would be … exactly the same. Navarre’s six precincts voted similarly to the rest of the county and matched almost every election result.
Santa Rosa County Commissioners Nov. 13 are expected to delay the deadline for payment of residential beach lease fees until March 31. The board hopes by that date to know more about pending federal legislation which could completely eliminate lease fees on Santa Rosa Island.

Off to a good start, the Raiders defeated Fort Walton Beach and Mosley in a rare double header on Nov. 1. The pre-season games were played in Fort Walton Beach at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. under cold and blustery conditions. The Raiders won 4-2 over Fort Walton Beach in the morning game and defeated Mosley 2-0 in the afternoon contest.
Navarre reeled off six straight wins to start the 2014 season. Back to back setbacks at the hands of Niceville and Choctaw ruined the chances for an undefeated regular season.
