Old No. 7:  The perfect blend

Walk into Wayne and Pam Porter’s house and you will see the love for Jack Daniel’s whiskey, the brand.  On one side of the dining room is a cabinet of collector bottles, limited edition bottles or different makes the company produced.  Along the walls are Jack Daniels signs.  Most Christmases and birthdays are filled with gifts of Jack Daniel’s merchandise, memorabilia or a bottle of the whiskey.

Water system seeks approval for conditional land use

The Holley-Navarre Water System is seeking conditional-use of land that it has owned for 10 years to build two Rapid Infiltration Basin Systems (RIBS) to effectively eliminate treated waste water otherwise known as reclaimed water or effluent.  There will be no mechanical building or equipment on the site of the RIBS and the entire site will be fenced for safety and security.

Consumer Alert: Read the fine print

Residents in the Holley-Navarre area have received a letter that appears to be from the water company, but a closer look at the fine print says otherwise.  The letter tells residents that the water line buried underground on their property is the homeowner’s responsibility and the cost of repairs falls on their shoulders.  The company sending the letter, HomeServe USA Corp., is selling a service plan or insurance to cover the cost of any future repairs.
