Recently two Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were chosen to move from the traffic unit to the K-9 unit, increasing the total K-9 teams at the agency from four to six.

The final meeting was held in Port St. Joe for the area designated as the East Panhandle Bear Management Unit (BMU), which focuses on the Apalachicola National Forest and surrounding areas.
