A University of West Florida faculty researcher has invented a device that aids in detecting harmful organisms in water, and the university has signed its first international licensing agreement for the invention.
The Navarre Beach Chamber of Commerce will host the 19th annual Christmas in the Park celebration Saturday Dec. 7 from 1-6 p.m. The event will feature Christmas related festivities and a Christmas Parade from 2:30-3:30 p.m., which will begin near the Navarre Public Library and run South down Presidio Street to end near Esplanade Street
The Santa Rosa County RESTORE council is making more progress toward formalizing proposed evaluation criteria to be used for recommending projects submitted to the county for funding through monies received related to the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. At the Nov. 14 meeting council members were presented with a draft of weighted criteria for four funding categories: environment, economic development, infrastructure and tourism.
