The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office announced March 14 that they are seeking assistance from the public in solving an arson investigation. The sheriff’s office is working with the Division of State Fire Marshal’s Office on the case.

ATMORE, Ala. (AP) — The National Weather Service says winds blowing as strong as 110 mph are responsible for storm damage in the southwestern Alabama town of Atmore.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) is holding six meetings around the state to take public input on the department’s water quality assessment and restoration priorities during the next two years. Many area residents were notified by mail last month that their prescription benefits through Tricare for Life would be changing as of Friday, March 15. The change resulted from passage of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act, which created a five-year pilot program requiring some TRICARE for Life beneficiaries to utilize mail-order or military pharmacies for refills of maintenance medications taken regularly for chronic conditions.
