The event, which has been put on by the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center (NBSTCC) since at least 2014, features a variety of stations and family-friendly activities and games for the whole community.
Crafts, games, animal education, special guests, and photo ops are some of the activities being touted for this year’s edition of the Extravaganza. Kicking off at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m., the event will be free to the public.
In years past, Sea Turtle Extravaganza has included kite flying, kayaking, live animal interactions, touch tanks, tours of NBSTCC, regional conservation groups discussing their work, an appearance from Navarre Beach Fire Rescue District’s fire engine, and stations showing human beings’ environmental impact and how to help protect the environment.
