Last week, area schools closed for three days as a result of the winter storm. Unlike Escambia and Okaloosa County school districts that had extra school days already built into their schedules, Santa Rosa County students may have to make up the snow days during their spring break.
Ice covers a tree Wednesday at Navarre High School. Students were off Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday due to hazardous driving conditions.
