Saltwater Cottage changes with the tides of 2026

If you blink you might miss it: an older small gray building that sits in the heart of Navarre at the corner of U.S. Highway 98 and State Road 87. Dating back to 1940, this charming structure is home to Saltwater Cottage—and proudly holds the title of Navarre’s oldest building.

Owner Julie Condon has a passion for finding beauty in the rough, which is plain to see when you step inside the quaint cottage.

From inspirational gifts to home décor, Julie has handpicked one-of-a-kind items for her business since it opened almost 14 years ago. What used to be a dilapidated structure is now a cozy cottage full of unique gifts and home furnishings inspired by the emerald waters and sandy shores of Navarre Beach.

“Our philosophy here is that no matter how broken down we become, with a little time and a little love, anything can be restored,” Julie said.

If you haven’t stopped by in a while, there is something new waiting for you because Saltwater Cottage is always “changing with the tide.” This tagline will be incorporated into many of their items this year as the store celebrates its 14th anniversary.

Saltwater Cottage will now be offering staging for rental units as well as real estate. Stop by the cottage and ask about the beautiful interior design selection to make potential buyers or renters say, “Wow!”

The cottage is adding more space and expanding its footprint. Be on the lookout for more square footage and inventory including, Cali Bamboo flooring. Another exciting addition is the launch of truly unique workshops offered each month. Stay tuned to social media to see what’s coming first.

The trendy boutique on Highway 98 carries a little bit of everything from inspirational books, handcrafted jewelry, baby toys and outfits to cute dog collars and fun chew toys.

The shop is stocked with intentional gifts and decor to turn the focus to something bigger, someone so much bigger.

“We don’t use God to promote our business. We use our business to promote God,” Julie said.

Some of the unique finds you can buy at Saltwater include inspirational wall décor and watercolor paint workbooks where the paint you need for each piece is on the mirroring page.

All their items are selected based on the stories they spark, the organizations the companies give back to, or the ministries they support.

They also have a selection of delicious food items, including gourmet jellies and jams and Frontier soup mixes, where you add a few ingredients and it tastes homemade in minutes.

Candles are a bestseller at Saltwater Cottage and are hand poured by owner Julie Condon. She crafts each fragrance, and each candle has a story and is individually prayed over.

One of their best-selling candles called “Twelve” represents the 12 disciples, the 12 tribes of Israel and their local Twelve Prayer Group.
