Naval Air Station (NAS) Whiting Field recognized the accomplishments of soon-to-be-advanced sailors during a frocking ceremony Thursday, May 28, in the installation’s operations auditorium. Nineteen sailors were all smiles as they donned the new collar devices for the first time.
NAS Whiting Field Commanding Officer Capt. Todd Bahlau presents a frocking letter to Air Traffic Controller 1st Class Mario Santis. The ceremony marks the first time sailors can wear their new rank insignia.
