Retired couple completes the “Great Loop”

Retirement means something a little different to Navarre residents Eddy and Linda Johnsen. After they both retired before turning 60 last year, the self-proclaimed adventurers decided to take a trip of a lifetime, traveling 6,700 miles through 21 states and Canada by boat on the “Great Loop.”
Navarre residents Eddy and Linda Johnsen proudly holding their AGLCA flag, which they got after completing the Great Loop on their boat “Spiritus” after their retirement. They traveled around Florida, up the East Coast, across the Erie Canal into Canada waters and Lake Michigan, before finally making their way back down the Mississippi River to the Gulf Coast. They completed their journey in 15 months.
