Raider band camp brings marching band out of hibernation

| Kaitie Kiger

After taking a year and a half hiatus, marching band is back, and the Navarre High School Raider Band is ready to march on the field again. Last year, the band was only allowed to have a pep band during football season.

“No one was allowed to march, so we just played in the stands,” Navarre High School band director Dean Barrow said.

The Raider Band had their band camp the last two weeks of July from noon to 9 p.m. Members learned how to march, some for the first time, rehearsed their half time show music and set their drill. Photo by Kaitie Meyer
