Nearly every weekend local residents have the chance to support a nonprofit by participating in a run or walk. For some, this is part of a lifestyle but others put on their running shoes only once or twice a year as they support their favorite charity.
Donna Harris at Run With It in Fort Walton Beach distributes race packets March 14 for the Lucky Leprechaun 5k and 10k. About 500 runners and walkers were expected to participate in the third annual event.
