Pensacola International Airport announces new nonstop flights

Contour Airlines will deliver service to and from Muscle Shoals.
The new service kicks off a new partnership with Contour Airlines and will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, beginning March 22, 2025, and will run through Aug. 2, 2025. Contour will become the ninth airline operating at Pensacola International Airport.
Breeze Airways will provide air service to the Raleigh-Durham area. Service to this area will begin April 30.
The Shoals region of Alabama is home to the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and is near Florence, the former home of Helen Keller. The Raleigh-Durham connection serves as a connection between Northwest Florida and the capital of North Carolina. In addition to being home of the Tar Heel state’s government, it is also home of the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team and several universities including Duke University in Durham, North Carolina State University in Raleigh, and the University of North Carolina, located in nearby Chapel Hill.
“We are pleased to welcome Contour Airlines’ new nonstop service to Muscle Shoals,” said Matt Coughlin, Pensacola International Airport Director. “This route strengthens our regional connectivity and provides a valuable link between Northwest Florida and the historic Shoals area. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Contour Airlines to offer more travel opportunities for our community.”
Contour Airlines President Ben Munson said his company was excited about the partnership as well.
“By connecting the region to Northwest Alabama Regional Airport in Muscle Shoals, travelers have a nonstop, affordable and convenient connection to Northern Alabama, Mississippi and North Carolina,” Munson said.
In addition, the airport announced a one-stop/no change of plane breeze-thru service to Providence, Rhode Island, through the Raleigh-Durham route. Breeze Airways will also facilitate those flights, starting April 30. The Providence flights will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
“The addition of Raleigh and Providence to our route map is a game-changer, providing greater access to the Southeast and Northeast,” Coughlin said. “We are pleased that Breeze has added these two fantastic destinations, which will have a meaningful impact on our local economy, tourism and business community.”
