Navarre High assistant principal once carried the Olympic flame

In 2028, the United States will host the Olympic games in Los Angeles. The last time the U.S. hosted the Summer Olympic Games was 1996, when it was held in Atlanta.
Navarre High School Assistant Principal Jennifer Hill Watson carried the Olympic flame as part of the 1996 Summer Olympics torch relay. Watson carried the flame through Jonesboro, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, where the games were held.
