The award recognizes the club’s contributions to community beautification, environmental education and civic involvement. Under the leadership of club president Jan Chappell, the club has taken on numerous projects in the Navarre community, while continuing annual traditions such as the Spring Fling.
The club offers a scholarship each year to a graduating Navarre High School student, teaches Junior Garden Club at three local schools, organizes educational workshops and maintains two public gardens for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Recently, the Navarre Garden Club celebrated its 50th anniversary in March. Over the past five decades, the Navarre Garden Club has been dedicated to promoting gardening, conservation, and civic pride throughout the region.
“We are thrilled and honored to receive this award,” said Chappell. “It’s a tribute to the incredible dedication of our members and the many ways we strive to make Navarre a more beautiful, sustainable, and connected community”.
