National Lost Dog Awareness Day

A network of nonprofit organizations operating in Florida and eight other states celebrated April 23 the first National Lost Dog Awareness to remind residents that not all stray dogs are homeless. The holiday was created by Susan Taney and Kathy Pobloskie – directors of Lost Dog Illinois and Lost Dogs of Wisconsin.
Lost Dogs Florida is an all-volunteer group that uses social media like Facebook and Twitter to reunite families with their lost dogs.
