Masks no longer mandatory in schools, effective immediately

| Kaitie Kiger

There was standing room only at a special school board meeting Monday morning to hear from the public and then vote on the mask mandate in Santa Rosa County school district.

After the board heard from 17 parents and frustrated citizens, all speaking up against the mask mandate, the motion to make masks recommended instead of mandatory passed unanimously.
