Legislative Delegation supports Williamson

Three Santa Rosa citizens have applied for the appointment to temporarily fill late Commissioner Jim Williamson’s District 1 commission seat until the Nov. 4 special election, which will determine his replacement through the end of his term, which expires in 2016.

Sheldon Thomas, a former Florida Department of Corrections representative, said extra acreage was intentionally purchased and a road adjacent to the jail was named Judicial Boulevard in anticipation of building a future courthouse at the site.
