Hurricane Elsa on the move, path uncertain

Elsa has been upgraded to a hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 miles per hour. The National Hurricane Center does not have high confidence in her forecast path, which currently takes her into the Gulf of Mexico early next week and then up the western coast of the Peninsula.

Northwest Florida, including Navarre, may feel the first effects along the beaches mid-week with high surf and increased rip currents, according to local officials.
