Hurlburt Field Airmen and team members honored for volunteer service
Hurlburt Field members, families and friends gathered together to celebrate the Angel Award nominees and the Volunteer Excellence Award nominees at the Soundside Club April 29.
Col. Sean Farrell, 1st Special Operations Wing commander and Chief Master Sgt. Cory Olson, 1st SOW command chief, present Staff Sgt. Shanthenia Griffin the active duty Angel Award at the Soundside Club on Hurlburt Field April 29. The Angel Award is a prestigious award that was established in 1988 by Mrs. Eunice Welch, wife of retired Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Larry D. Welch.
