Idus Martin Murkerson, 20, had an active warrant out for second degree murder with a firearm by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, a BOLO was issued in reference to a homicide suspect possibly traveling westbound on Interstate 10 in a gold Volkswagen sedan.
Members of the Florida Highway Patrol Criminal Interdiction Unit located the suspect traveling on interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County. A traffic stop was initiated and Murkerson was located and taken into custody.
