Harnessing the sun

What began as a directive in 2014 to all military installations from the Department of Defense to install renewable energy on their installations has culminated into a Naval Air Station Whiting Field and Gulf Power initiative at Holley Outlying Field. The project is one of three across the panhandle of Florida with a second location at Sauffley Field and a third at Eglin Air Force Base.
