Half of students absent for St. Patty’s storm makeup day

There was only an 11-percent absentee rate for in Santa Rosa County public schools March 14, a makeup day for the historic three-day winter storm in late January. However, only about half of district’s students showed up the final makeup day March 17, originally set to be the first day of spring break.
