Gulf Islands means business

A report released Monday by the National Park Service (NPS) showed nearly 3.9 million visitors enjoyed the Florida sites of Gulf Islands National Seashore in 2012. Further, the report estimates they spent more than $155 million in communities near the park and supported nearly 2,100 local jobs. According to the report most visitor spending supports jobs in the retail, hospitality and entertainment industries.
