Thirteen-year-old Megan Sydow was the first recipient of the Midway Fire District’s Citizen Safety award. Sydow received the award in recognition of her persistence in wearing a helmet while riding her bike.
Sydow received the first ever Citizen Safety Award from Midway Fire District along with a new bike from the firefighter’s union and a helmet from West Florida Regional Planning Council.
