Gulf Breeze artist brings aviation, military history to life with exhibit

This summer, the United States celebrated its 250th anniversary. To commemorate the milestone, Pensacola State College’s Anna Switzer Gallery has been showcasing an exhibit of 50 paintings depicting America’s military history.

George Wilson, the artist behind the paintings, is a Gulf Breeze-area resident.

George Wilson, who spent 23 years in the U.S. Army, is an avid painter. His work is currently on exhibit at Pensacola State College’s Switzer Gallery.
