A rare respiratory illness-causing virus has affected 82 people in the middle of the country, most of them children according to the Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC). Hospitals in Missouri and Illinois are seeing more children with the virus than are typical for this time of year, which has promoted the CDC’s attention.
