FWC biologists rescue panther kitten

A one-week-old panther kitten was rescued by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) biologists while conducting field research in mid-January at the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge in Collier County, east of Naples. FWC reported the 1-pound male kitten had a dangerously low body temperature and was nonresponsive.
FWC panther biologist Dr. Dave Onorato and veterinarian Ashly Ayoov from the Animal Specialty Hospital of Florida care for a panther kitten found in southwest Fla. last month.
