A small disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico is becoming better organized and has a 40% chance of developing into a short-lived tropical depression or storm, according to the National Hurricane Center. It’s expected to bring rain and storms to Texas and Louisiana over the next few days.
The first tropical disturbance of the season has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.
