Second chance program for young offenders doubles in size

Assistance for Santa Rosa County students that have had run-ins with the law has expanded as the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Transition Program launched in February 2018 has more than doubled its reach.

From emotional support counseling to academic tutoring to navigating complex transcripts, Student Intervention Specialist Cindy Peaden has expanded the number of struggling students her program can assist.
