Dozens apply for tourism position

There’s a crowded pool of well-experienced applicants seeking the top spot at the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council (TDC). Around 30 candidates have applied to fill the vacancy created by the Aug.1 retirement of former executive director Kate Wilkes.

Santa Rosa Commissioners recently thanked Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council Director Kate Wilkes for her service with a plaque marking her Aug. 1 retirement.
