Navarre Cub Scouts in pack 104 and 105 spent Jan. 19 cheering at the packs’ Pinewood Derbies. After weeks of perfecting the looks and skills of their racing machines, the Cubs got to race to the finish in style surrounded by friends and family. Once the heats were done the racing times were averaged and the Pinewood Derby top three for each category were named.
The top three finishers in each category will advance to the Feb. 2, 2013 Pensacola Bay District Pinewood Derby Championship. Pictured is Nick Meyer, 7, celebrating his car, ‘Four Stroke’s’ first place finish in a heat at the Pack 104 Pinewood Derby at St. Sylvester Catholic Church.
