A Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy, William Adams, was driving his marked patrol car east on Old Bagdad Highway on March 11 at around 10:15 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol says Adams failed to yield the right of way at the stop intersection of Old Bagdad Highway and Forsyth Road and entered the path of a Jeep Cherokee. The front of the Jeep struck the passenger side of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office patrol car.
