Cheryl Deas wants to cry when she thinks about the effort she is making to carry on the legacy of her son, DJ, who died by suicide last summer at the age of 16.
Two events this weekend in Navarre, both of which honor the memory of DJ, who competed in track and football for the Raiders in 2017 before moving back to the Jacksonville area, will carry that legacy even further.
