Daily tooth brushing good for pets

It’s never too late to teach an old dog a new trick. Just like it isn’t too late to get into the habit of giving your pet a daily tooth brushing. Dogs and cats are just as susceptible to plaque and tartar on their teeth, which is why veterinarians recommend regular brushings between professional teeth cleanings as protection again periodontal disease.
Dr. Gina Bauman, veterinarian at Navarre Animal Hospital, does an oral exam on Bailey, a 10-year-old English bulldog.
