Cyclists ride to remember, raise awareness

For the first time, Pensacola was a site for the annual, nationwide observance of “Ride of Silence” to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured by motorists. The event was also designed to bring awareness to “Sharing the Road,” a cyclist-motorists awareness program.

Cyclists gathered May 21 in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach for the Ride of Silence, which honors cyclists who have been injured or killed while riding.
