Tootle was having her usual weekly meeting with Brad Baker, the assistant county administrator, when she let him know she was resigning.
“She was offered a better position for her family,” Baker said. “That’s why she’s leaving, to better herself and her family.”
Tootle’s final day is Nov. 2 and will help the transition for the new director, said Baker. At this time, Tootle has not disclosed her future employer or position.
